XDR SEC Completes Series A Financing Led by Legend Capital

Beijing-based cybersecurity startup XDR SEC has recently completed its Series A financing led by Legend Capital.

Established in October 2020, XDR SEC devoted itself to researching detection and response from internet attacks. With its commitment to provide customers with comprehensive and accurate network security detection services and efficient automatic threat-detection products, XDR SEC successfully launched China’s first domestic Extended Detection and Response (XDR) platform in January 2021.

Nowadays, many enterprises detect and deal with alerts relying on various security products, with limited security resources (such as personnel, etc.). A mass of alerts inevitably needs to be filtered to keep the amount of analysis in the acceptable line. At the same time, security products that have been and are still being superimposed resulted in higher alarm volume, making security operation and maintenance harder.

Jiajia TANG, founder and CEO of XDR SEC, shared that the XDR platform is dedicated to accessing information such as NDR or EDR through multi-data measurement. It is hoped that the platform can effectively reduce the volume of alerts and improve the efficiency of security services. At present, the key account representatives of XDR SEC are the State Grid, China Telecom and clientele from the financial sector. At the same time, the products XDR SEC provided are also attracting more and more small and medium-sized enterprises, which will also be the target customers of XDR SEC in the future.

Looking forward, Tang believes that the company will strengthen the detection capability of EDR and NDR, and will keep optimizing the engine through the requirements of actual scenarios. To sum up, the core of "DR" family eventually needs to focus on detection and response capability, which is also the direction that XDR SEC will keep forward. Regarding commercialization, after the financing, it plans to expand its market across China to access more potential customers by offering a better XDR experience.
